Summary of MilNetUK Version2 Mail Service

There are two levels of service (Basic and Premium) and a number of addon services. The Basic level is free, the Premium service and extra addon services are provided for a monthly payment as per below. There are some screenshots available, which illustrate how each email account can be tailored to an indivual's requirements.

Basic Service. This service is FREE. Access to the Mail server is only allowed from computers connected to the internet via the MilNet 0845 Pay as You go dial in service. The following features are offered:

      • Access via POP3 (eg Outlook Express)
      • Access via a web based email client

Premium Service. This service is provided free for one month from the date of setting up a new email address.. This service is charged at £2.00 per month, and offers the following features in addition to the Basic Service:

      • Personal Control Panel
      • Virus Protection
      • Anti Spam
      • Trusted Sites
      • Friends
      • Access to your incoming mail from any computer connected to the internet. (To SEND mail from anywhere on the internet, sign up for the 'Extra' level of service to use our SMTP server. See Below)

Extra AddOns. There are a number of addons which may be added to the Premium Service. These cost an extra £1.00 per month for all of them. They are:

    • Forwarding/Autoresponder
    • Exception Rules
    • Access to TMail SMTP (good for sending mail if you have changed ISP, eg moved to broadband)
    • Add up to six Aliases. Good for family members.
